The TKO ED Warranty
Our TKO ED Re-Certified computers are scrutinized so closely
prior to shipment that we include a 3-year parts replacement
warranty (new for all of 2006) on all of our fully ReCertified
desktop computers. If your
district requires additional coverage, above and beyond the 3-year
coverage - let's talk.
No matter how good our hardware, or how thorough our process,
a small percentage of our units will have “issues” during the course of the
warranty period. If you do experience any trouble with your hardware, and your
equipment is within the original warranty period, the process is simple: You
call us Toll Free or e-mail us – your choice.
If you call during our standard business hours of 8am to 5pm
Pacific Time, you will be greeted by a live person and transferred to a
technician dedicated to resolving your issue. You will be walked through a
series of very basic steps to qualify and diagnose your specific issue. If it
is determined that a replacement part is required, the replacement part will
generally ship that same day.
Moving parts are typically where
we’ve seen these failures - a floppy drive no longer ejects the disk, or a
keyboard stops working. In these cases, we simply send you the replacement
part. The part arrives in a few days, along with instructions on how to install
the part and what to do with the defective item. The beauty of the equipment we
specialize in (namely the Optiplex) is such that even someone with little or no
computer experience can replace most of the moving parts in as little as 3 to 5
minutes.
If you cannot figure out how to
replace the part yourself, you can call us or email us, and your technician
will walk you through the installation process. Should a more difficult repair
be required (such as the replacement of a motherboard), we will make the
necessary pickup arrangements so that the entire unit can be returned to us,
repaired, and returned to you – all within a matter of a few days. We ask that
you keep at least one original box and the original packing material in this
unlikely event.
You may or may not know, but all Dell Optiplex computers
include a lifetime of Technical Support directly from Dell. If you wish to
bypass our technical support entirely, you can call Dell directly at
877.773.3355 or visit them at
www.support.dell.com. Be sure to follow the prompts and input
the Service Tag (found on the side of your PC), so that you can find all the
information you’ll ever need.
